The district is located just 30 minutes north of the St. Louis Metro Area along the heavily traveled I-255 corridor. The district is composed of five schools, of which all but one is located in the village of Bethalto. The cell tower will also provide a source of revenue for the district, as the selected firm will be required to provide an upfront payment and/or a percentage of the cellular carrier lease payments it generates annually, along with the easement or lease agreement reached between the parties.
